GPA - what's that?



Now that we've learned how to set SMART goals, let's learn about the importance of good grades and getting into the college of your choice.

Do you know what GPA stands for? It stands for Grade Point Average. Average, you've heard that term before in math class. Now I know what you're thinking, "When will I ever use Averages in my life?" Well, here we go, a perfect application.

Did you know that each letter grade also has a point value associated with it? It's true! Here's how it looks -

4.000 A
3.667 A-
3.333 B+
3.000 B
2.667 B-
2.333 C+
2.000 C
1.667 C-
1.333 D+
1.000 D
0.667 D-
0.000 F

So, now you're probably thinking, "Wait a minute Ms. G...are you really going to make me do math?" Well, I should, because it's good practice, but for right now, I'm going to make it easy on you (you're welcome!.
